Tekerőlantosok könyve | The Hurdy-Gurdy Handbook

A kétnyelvű (magyar, angol) kötet tartalmazza a tekerő-tanításhoz szükséges hangszerismereteket, hangszertörténetet, típusrajzokkal, ábrákkal szemléltetve azt. A szerző ismerteti a hangszer legfontosabb technikai beállításait, és gyakorlati útmutatót ad a karbantartáshoz, a játékmód elsajátításához szükséges gyakorlatokkal. A népzenei gyakorlat alapján ismerteti használatát, néprajzi közlésekből, adatközlőktől származó leírásokkal, kottákkal, képekkel kiegészítve. A könyv az első ilyen jellegű magyar kiadványként ad összefoglalót a tekerőlant tárgykörében. Kottamellékletet is tartalmaz Papp Rókus délalföldi tekerős repertoárjával.

The bilingual (Hungarian and English) book includes a description and the history of this musical instrument, required for teaching, with illustrations of its variants. The author describes the most important technical settings of the musical instrument, gives a practical guide to its maintenance and includes exercises required for learning to play it. Based on the folk music sample scores, its use is outlined with descriptions, sheet music and illustrations. Being the first publication of its kind in Hungary, this book gives a summary information about the hurdy-gurdy. The scores included are from the repertoire of Rókus Papp, hurdy-gurdy player on the Lowlands.
